IMPORTANT UPDATE

Dear parents,

After consulting with staff and my chair of governors, we think the only way to approach this government U-Turn at such short notice is to move our INSET day that was planned for Thursday 1st April 2021 to tomorrow instead, giving the staff time to properly plan how we open for vulnerable children and critical workers whilst delivering a quality remote-learning package. We hope that this eases pressures on most parents tomorrow as well so that you can work on your own arrangements for the coming weeks without feeling the need to support home-learning.

As this new set of closures are likely to be in effect until February half-term, we would much rather give ourselves time to put everything in place than spend the coming days constantly on the back foot. I have already been in touch with a number of local headteacher colleagues who are taking the same approach.

At some point tomorrow morning, I will be in touch with everyone who has said they will want places at school under the vulnerable/critical worker provisions with details of how this will be arranged from Wednesday 6th onwards.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding during what is an unprecedented and difficult time for us all.

Kind regards,

Mr Ratcliffe
