Wild Things! #W

1st April 2021

We have loved our topic this term “Paws, Claws and Whiskers”.
Our story this week was “Where the Wild Things are.”
This morning, for our fine-motor activity we created our own Wild Things using clay. We discussed and described our Wild Thing’s features. We have been learning different adjectives this week to describe the features such as scaly, hairy, long, pointy, sharp. Also, we have been comparing and contrasting the Wild Things in the text.

We have been looking at language in the story and discussing characters and settings.
We drew large-scale story maps and added key language such as forest, Max and then added speech bubbles to show what the Wild Things said to Max.

We hope you enjoy looking at our photographs!
